BYRON CENTER HIGH SCHOOL: 6
The girls softball team opened up their season last night taking on last years state-ranked Byron Center Bulldogs. After overcoming some first game jitters the Blue Devils took care of business winning 7-6. Lauren Esman was solid on the mound pitching the entire game. Ashton Whitman, in her softball debut, finished with a pair of doubles. Freshman Katie Tobias recorded her first high school career home run!
