Lady Blue Devils sweep Otsego in Girls Basketball

The girls' varsity basketball team ratcheted up the defensive pressure last night to raise their record to 2-1 with a 61-40 win over previously undefeated Otsego. After trailing 35-32 at half-time, the Blue Devils defense held Otsego to just 5 points in the second half. Leading the scoring for Gull Lake was Ashton Whitman with 14 points. Avery Cook added 13 points while Olivia Heuermann added 11 points and Audrey DeWaters chipped in 10 points. The ladies host Loy Norrix on Friday. Tip-off is at 5:45 pm. The JV and Freshman teams were also victorious over Otsego with the freshman winning 31-21 and the JV 41-39.
