The Gull Lake Blue Devils had their Friday night football game against Lansing Waverly moved up to a 5:30 kickoff.  The time change did not affect the Blue Devil’s offensive drive.  Gull Lake marched down the field on the opening drive and scored on a James Romyak 16-yard run.  Anthony Baptiste’s PAT kick was good.  Gull Lake led 7-0 after the 1^st quarter.

The Warriors responded with a 40-yard TD pass in the 2^nd quarter.  PAT kick was good.  Gull Lake responded with a score of their own when senior QB Silas VanWormer ran off the left side for a 41-yard Blue Devil touchdown.  PAT kick missed. Gull Lake took a 13-7 lead to the half.

Waverly struck early in the 2^nd half.  The Warriors scored on the 2^nd play of the 3^rd quarter on a 60-yard touchdown pass.  PAT was good.  Gull Lake responded with two more VanWormer TD runs from 50 & 30 yards away.  James Romyak scored on a 2-pt play, and Anthony Baptiste kicked a PAT. Gull Lake led 28-14 after 3 quarters.

Waverly scored half-way through the 4^th quarter on a 1-yard 4^th down score to tighten the Blue Devil lead 28-21, but Gull Lake’s defense tightened down and stopped any future Waverly threats.  Final score Gull Lake 28  Waverly 21.
