Gull Lake and Vicksburg instantly renewed their rivalry when the Bulldogs entered Blue Devil territory Friday night.  Both teams played a strong first half.  Gull Lake put together 10-play, 11-play, & 12-play drives in the first half, but could only manage one TD when Nolan Greenwood scored from 24-yards out in the 2^nd quarter (Baptiste PAT).  The Bulldogs also did their first-half scoring in the second quarter.   Vicksburg’s QB scored from 12 yards out and the Bulldogs also connected on the 31yard FG with 34 seconds to go in the half.

The second half was even more exciting than the first.  Both defenses kept their opponent out of the end zone in the 3^rd quarter.   However, Gull Lake’s Silas VanWormer reeled off a 64-yard run late in the 3^rd quarter to set up his own 2-yard touchdown on the first play of the 4^th quarter (Baptiste PAT).  The 4^th quarter proved to be more exciting.  Both defenses stopped their opponents on four consecutive fourth-and-short plays.  It wasn’t until 1:24 left in the game that Vicksburg scored on the first play of their last drive.  The 66-yard Bulldog TD pass was the difference in the game.  Vicksburg 17  Gull Lake  14
