Gull Lake drops home opener vs. Mattawan

Both Gull Lake and Mattawan showed some first-game jitters and struggled to maintain drives Friday night. The Blue Devils had two deep drives into Mattawan territory, but could not come up with the necessary points to climb back into the game. Mattawan scored early in the 1st quarter and took a 7-0 halftime lead. Mattawan also scored on the opening drive in the 3rd quarter and late in the 4th quarter for the 20-0.
