Gull Lake and Stevensville Lakeshore produced two solid defensive units Friday night in Richland that created a low-scoring game.  Lakeshore come out on top at the end of the night 20-7 over Gull Lake.  Both teams hunkered down to limit the offenses of both teams.  Lakeshore took a 6-0 halftime lead off of two field goals by the Lancer kicker.  

Gull Lake struggled to sustain a drive due to the pressure of Lakeshore's defense on this dreary wet field.  Many drives stalled out and Gull Lake was forced to punt. The same could be said for Gull Lake's defense.  The Lancers also had many punts on the night as well after their offense failed to produce long drives.  The difference in the game was field possession.  Gull Lake started at least 5 drives inside of their own 10 yard line and couldn't flip the field and take the momentum back from Lakeshore.

Gull Lake's defense scored the solo touchdown for the Blue Devils.  Jacob Wiley scored on a nifty scoop-and-score from 65 yards out in the 4th quarter.  Zach Reed punched in the PAT with his thunder foot.
