The Gull Lake Blue Devils started out of the gates slowly and found themselves down 13–0 after the first quarter against BC Central. Gull Lake’s offense struggled trying to get out of the shadow of their own endzone. Gull Lake woke up in a grand a way to start the second quarter. Gull Lake scored 26 points in the second quarter alone! Nolan Fraaza started the scoring with a 5 yard run, followed moments later with a 35 yard defensive scoop-and-score touchdown by junior Dakota Oman. Quarterback Dawson Clancy threw two touchdown passes. The first score went through Dylan Stanton from 49 yards out.  A successful squib kick gave the ball back to Gull Lake. On the very next play, Clancy threw another touchdown pass. This time, Justin Larkin fought for a score from 18 yards out. Halftime score Gull Lake found them self down by one point, 27–26. 

 The second half was a totally different ball game. Both teams made adjustments to slow their opponents down. Both the Bearcats and the Blue Devils scored one touchdown each early in the third quarter. Clancy hooked up with Stanton from 17 yards out for Gull Lake.

The end of the game was just as exciting as the first 3 1/2 quarters. Battle Creek was forced to punt with 1:05 left in the game. The Blue Devils marched down the field and got as close as the 23 yard line before time ran out. Final score:  BCC 34  GL 33
