Gull Lake wins 18-0, and 19-2 to earn sweep.

Game 1 Gull Lake 18, BCC 0 in 3 innings.

It only took 3 innings for Gull Lake to earn the win in the first game of the conference double header. Gull Lake scored 2 in the 1st, 8 in the 2nd, and 8 in the third. Giving them the 18-0 mercy rule win. Gull Lake was led by Junior Luke Scoles who was a double shy of hitting for the cycle. He ended up going 4-4 with 6 total RBIs. Jacob Louden added 2 hits as well. Dylan Stanton, Carson Senske, Nick Fadden, Dean Sommer, and Cooper Hamlin all had hits in the win.  Gull Lake’s Brandon Ruge and Korbin Griffin combined to no hit Battle Creek Central. Ruge got the win going 2 innings.

Battle Creek Central’s Broghan Heckert was handled the Loss.

Game 2 - Gull Lake 19, BCC 2 in 6 innings

Gull Lake racked up 19 runs on 14 hits in Game 2 of the double header.

They scored 10 runs in the 6th inning to seal the win and get the 19-2 mercy win. Dylan Stanton had 4 hits and 4 RBI’s in the win for Gull Lake. Justin Mansager added 3 hits as well. Luke Scoles and Brandon Ruge had two hits a piece.  Battle Creek Central’s Broghan Heckert had two hits in the loss. Austin Tacket also had a hit.  Avery Eastman picked up the win for Gull Lake, and Osiris Guy picked up the loss for Battle Creek Central.

Battle Creek Central heads to Lansing Eastern Thursday, while Gull Lake will host St. Joseph.
