Game 1:  Gull Lake jumped out to a 8-0 lead before Otsego was able to get into the hit column. Gull Lake scored 5 in the 1st and 3 in the 2nd. Gull Lake took advantage of a couple of bases loaded walks and a huge RBI single by Kole Warren. Warren had a big day at the plate driving in 4 runs and collecting two hits. Otsego cut into the lead in their half of the 3rd inning scoring 5 runs to cut the deficit to 3. A Derek Ward walk was followed up by a bunt single by Will Eldred. Addison Atwater and Jayden Dentler both drew walks allowing Ward to score Otsego’s first run. Dentler was credited with an RBI. Edred scored on a Jaekob Sallee single, and Owen Wilson drew a bases loaded walk allowing Jayden Dentler to score. Both teams scored 2 runs in the 4th. Gull Lake scored 3 more in the 5th and 1 more in the 6th to take the 14-7 victory. Jack Blesch got the win going 4 innings, allowing 4 hits and striking out 3. Jacob Gleason came in and threw 3 shutout innings to gain the Save. Luke Scoles, Gavin Griffin, and Hunter Hazel all drove in 2 runs for Gull Lake. Jaekob Sallee had 3 hits and 2 RBI’s, and Will Eldred added 2 hits for Otsego.

Game 2: Was called due to darkness. It was in the 3rd Inning before it was called. Because of the length it was not deemed official.

JV update:  The Blue Devil JV team split with Otsego losing game one 1-4 and winning game two 9-0.

Gull Lake varsity travels to Coldwater Friday to participate in the annual Pat Lowe Tournament. First pitch 3pm at Lowe Stadium in Coldwater.
