Former Wolverine Conference rivals faced off Wednesday Night in Plainwell. Gull Lake picked up the sweep winning 6-2 and 4-0. 

Game 1 Gull Lake scored 6 runs on 9 hits while committing no errors. Senior Cade Stanton picked up the win on the mound behind some great defensive plays behind him. Gull Lake’s middle infield turned two key double plays, and Luke Scoles made a great diving catch out in left field. Stanton had a big day at the plate as well with 2 hits while driving in 3 runs. Jacob Gleason added 3 hits and drove in 2 runs and Justin Mansager had two doubles in the victory. Plainwell’s Isaac Davis, and Liam Davis each had two hits in the loss.

Game 2 Gull Lake scored 4 runs on 3 hits while committing no errors. Four pitchers held Plainwell to just 1 hit in the shut out. Jacob Gleason got the win.  Justin Mansager pitched a scoreless 4th inning and Kole Warren did the same in the 5th. After Plainwell’s Reece Comerford got hit by a pitch, and a single by Isaac Davis, Gull Lake senior Tony Schnotala came in and earned the save by getting the next 3 Trojans to fly out. Offensively Gull Lake was lead by Luke Scoles who had two of Gull Lake's 3 hits. Luke had a single and a double with 1 RBI. Brothers Cade and Dylan Stanton both drove in a run with Sacrifice Flies. Justin Mansager added a double and 2 stolen bases in the win.  

Next game is Tuesday April 10th. Gull Lake hosts Sturgis. Enjoy Spring Break!
