This week we host a scrimmage on Wednesday the 7th. Schoolcraft, Portage Central, and Grand Ledge will attend. Athletes are expected to arrive at 3:40 pm in order to be dressed and ready for warm-ups at 4:00 pm. Competition will begin at 5:00 pm. Each scrimmage will consist of 10 minutes of offense and 10 minutes of defense. 

Friday, we will conduct team photos. Picture packets were handed out at the Parent Meeting. Please return the completed packet with your student-athlete on Friday. If you need the packet, please ask your student-athlete to get one from the coaches at practice before Friday. Players will receive their game jerseys on Friday.

Practices this week will be conducted from 3-5, per usual. 

Expectations

The main goal of middle school football is to prepare our students for their high school experience. That experience includes performing well on the football field, as well as, representing their community, their parents, and themselves in a manner that instills confidence and pride. Attitude and effort are held at a premium. This mentality carries over into behavior and conduct in all aspects of a student athlete’s life: the classroom, the household, and in the public eye.

Season Start Date:  Monday, August 22

Sign up through your student central account at planeths.com.  Select all your sports of interest and complete all required forms.  Valid physicals must be uploaded to your account.  A valid physical is one that is dated April 15, 2022 or later.
