Gull Lake Softball wins home invitational at Bailey Park

The Blue Devils defeated Mattawan, 4-0 to win the championship. Lauren Esman was once again outstanding on the mound. Elena Chrisman put the Blue Devils on the board first with a home run. She would later drive in a couple more runs on a base hit. Lizzie Margol came in off the bench with a huge hit and a great defensive catch in the outfield. Erika Hubbard and Ashley Kramer also both picked up hits in the win.
Earlier in the day the Blue Devils defeated Kalamazoo Christian 5-0 and lost to Lowell 4-1. Gull Lake earned their way to the championship game by coming out on top in the three way tie-breaking procedure.
The girls play at home on Tuesday against SMAC East opponent Lakeview.
