Coldwater earned the walk off win in game 1 of the Pat Lowe Invitational.

Game 1:  Coldwater jumped out to a 1-0 lead in the bottom of the 2nd inning after Austin Santure drew a bases loaded walk that plated Hunter St Clair. Gull Lake took the lead in the top of the 3rd when Justin Mansager singled then stole second base. Jacob Gleason singled bringing in Mansager. Dylan Stanton followed that up with a double, moving Gleason to 3rd. Cade Stanton drove in Gleason on a Sac Fly to Right Field giving Gull Lake a 2-1 lead. Coldwater tied it up at 2 in the 4th on a Jaxon Janusz RBI. The score stayed tied into extra innings. It wasn’t until the 8th inning until Gull Lake got back on the board. Cade Stanton reached 1st on an error by the Shortstop. He then made it to 2nd on an error on a pick off attempt. Kole Warren singled and drove Stanton in to give Gull Lake a 3-2 lead. Coldwater quickly came back on a leadoff single by Oliver Winter, a Lucas Santure Sac Bunt, and an Austin Roby RBI single that plated Winter. After keeping Gull Lake off the board in the 9th, Michael Kubel reached on an error, went to second on a Sac Bunt by Porter Skidmore. Bryce Lafferty singled but Gull Lake was able to keep the winning run on 3rd. Next batter Hunter St Clair singled to drive in Kubel and give Coldwater an extra innings win. Austin Santure got the win on the mound for Coldwater, while Justin Mansager got the loss. Gull Lake’s Jacob Gleason had two hits and drove in a run, Kole Warren also added two hits and drove in a run in the loss. The loss put Gull Lake at 7-1 on the season.

Consolation Game: Dundee vs. Gull Lake. After spotting Dundee a 3-0 lead, Gull Lake scored 2 runs in the 2nd, 3 in the 3rd, and 4 in both the 4th and 5th inning giving Gull Lake the 13-3 mercy win in 5 innings. Luke Scoles went 3 for 3 and drove in 3 runs. Gavin Griffin also had 3 hits and drove in 2 runs while picking up his first Varsity win on the mound. Jacob Allen drove in 2 runs as well. Justin Mansager, Kole Warren, Dawson Clancy, and Brandon Ruge all had RBI’s. The win gives Gull Lake an 8-1 record on the season.
